The cost of the service is $1,690 for Written Report, and $1,890 for Virtual Specialist Visit + Written Report. However, if your employer offers this service as part of your benefits package, the service may be of no or lower cost to you. Please check with your employer.
You may also be able to pay with your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA). If you are not sure if you have an FSA or HSA, please contact your employer or insurance provider.
We typically deliver second opinions in just a few days once relevant records are collected. Depending on your situation, record collection may take some time. Generally, the entire second opinion service takes about two weeks.
How Virtual Second Opinions Work
Can The Clinic by Cleveland Clinic Provide Second Opinions on All Kinds of Lung Cancer?
Yes. Our expert specialists are equipped to review all types of lung cancer, including:
Non-small cell lung cancer
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common type of lung cancer and is typically treated through a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiation, depending on the stage and specific characteristics of the tumor.
Small cell lung cancer
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive form of lung cancer often associated with smoking, and it is typically treated with a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, as well as targeted therapy when appropriate, due to its rapid growth and tendency to metastasize.
Other types of lung cancer
Different types of cancer can also start in or around your lungs, though they may not be referred to as lung cancer. These include lymphomas, which occur in the lymph nodes, sarcomas, which occur in the bones or soft tissue, and pleural mesothelioma, which occurs in the lining of the lungs.
